1. Overview

SpoolWorx is a local-first 3D printing inventory companion. These Terms govern your use of the SpoolWorx website (spoolworx.com), the SpoolWorx web app (app.spoolworx.org), and any related services.

By using SpoolWorx, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SpoolWorx. If you are under 18, you should use the service only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Local-First Architecture

SpoolWorx is designed so that all inventory data is stored locally on your device via browser localStorage.

The app does not send your inventory data to SpoolWorx servers unless you explicitly choose to use future cloud sync features.

4. Future Accounts & SpoolWorx Pro

SpoolWorx may introduce optional account features, including cloud sync, encrypted backups, and team/shared inventory functionality.

A paid tier (“SpoolWorx Pro”) will be available for features that require server infrastructure. Pricing and billing details will be announced when Pro features launch.

Local-only usage remains free and does not require an account.

5. Changes to the Service

SpoolWorx is an evolving product. Features may change, improve, or be removed over time. Every effort is made to maintain stability, but no guarantee is made that specific features will remain available indefinitely.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SpoolWorx is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

No warranties are provided regarding reliability, uptime, or suitability for a particular purpose. You use the service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpoolWorx and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups when using local-only mode.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse SpoolWorx, including attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the service or servers.

Users must comply with all applicable laws when using SpoolWorx.

9. Third-Party Services

SpoolWorx uses Cloudflare for hosting, security, and performance. Cloudflare may process standard technical data like IP addresses to operate its network.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Termination

You may stop using SpoolWorx at any time. When accounts launch, users will be able to delete their account and any stored cloud data upon request.
